Hey there family!

I pray that everyone is having an amazing week! Have you ever driven to a gas station in dire need of gas, and just a few miles from empty, only to discover that the gas station is completely out of gas? How useful is a gas station without gas? This how I imagine Jesus must have felt when he got to the fig tree looking for fruit, only to see that there was no fruit on this tree! (Reference Matthew 21:18-19 & Mark 11:12-14).

This past Sunday, Pastor Jason taught us in a continuation of our current sermon series titled “Grow Up – Maturing In Christ”. He taught us that God placed each of us on this earth to produce. Webster defines produce as to offer to view or notice; to give birth or rise to; to make available for the public; to cause to have existence or to happen. So yes, we were all created with gifts from God that He wants us to offer, make available for the public, and to cause to existence.

Have you ever thought about what your gifts are? Do you know your purpose? It’s okay if you don’t know. Many of us go for years and years without learning what our purpose is. 70% of Americans are dissatisfied with their jobs. Maybe this directly relates to the number of people who don’t know what their purpose is. Figuring out what your purpose is, will make it so much easier for you to produce. Working in your purpose makes work a joy, you’re offering a service to God’s people by using your gift. Even if you don’t know how to produce, if you spend more of your time thinking about your purpose, and seeking God for guidance, God will provide the answer as to how He would have you produce your gift.

Remember family, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Pastor Jason reminded us that if we are the giver, that means we are able to give because we are PRODUCING! Can you imagine using your God-given gift providing you with such abundance, that you are able to bless others by giving to them? This is why we must produce! We have a duty to serve the people of God with our gifts. In turn, God will pour out blessings for us that we won’t even have room enough to receive! Isn’t that amazing?

Just as we experience different seasons in nature, our lives have different seasons as well. If you feel that you’re in a season that you aren’t able to produce it’s okay. God is concerned with our heart. Is it in your heart to serve and produce? Open your heart to God and share with Him your thoughts, feelings, etc. He already knows, but He’d love for you to talk to Him. Pastor Juanita taught us that if we don’t know how to pray, we can simply talk to God the same way we talk to our best friend. He’s listening!

Always remember Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time”. That means that there is purpose in every event in your life, even if you can’t see it yet. And by you taking the step to commit to producing for God, He will begin to reveal and connect the dots for you. James 4:8 says if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us!

I love you family, I’m praying that we all investigate our lives and look for ways to produce (even if it’s small), and also look for things that are hindering us from producing and ask God to assist us. Remember, we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us! I love you and there’s nothing you can do about it!
