A Mission To Serve
St.Johns Downtown church began with 9 existing members in 1992. As the years have passed, St. John’s church has grown exponentially to thousands of members that attend both virtually and physically every week. St.John’s embraces people of every social and economic background that share the same pew. The success of the church is due to a compassionate group of people who have embraced the vision of tearing down the walls of classism, sexism, and racism and building bridges of unconditional love, universal recovery, and unprecedented hope.
Meet Our Senior Pastor
In 2014, Tiffany Tarrant became a licensed local pastor in the United Methodist Church and was appointed her home church, St. John’s Downtown in the city of Houston. Upon accepting the position, she became the Campus Pastor, under the leadership of Senior Pastors Rudy & Juanita Rasmus. As the leader of a dynamic, inclusive congregation, Tiffany strives to develop the faith of believers from all walks of life.
Pastors With A Passion For People
For over 32 years, St. John’s and its pastors have been committed to serving the people in the Houston community through many missions in philanthropy and care. Through initiatives of outreach through Bread Of Life, a non-profit founded by Pastor Rudy Rasmus and Pastor Juanita Rasmus a heart for those in need continues to be the focal point of our church.
