PATH TO FREEDOM

The Path To Freedom endeavors to change the prison cycle through sharing unconditional love and hope with men and women in prison, persons who have returned to society from jail or prison, and families affected by the prison cycle. Our mission is to inspire persons in and coming out of prison to live a free and abundant life in Christ. (Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them. ~ Hebrews 13:3)

MINISTERS OF PRAISE

The Ministers of Praise (M.O.P.) liturgical Dance Ministry of St. John’s United Methodist Church is a ministry that manifests the character of God by bridging the gap between God and humanity through artistic discipleship. We use our anointed vessels of honor for God’s Glory through dance. In addition, we seek to live a lifestyle of worship through studying and living God’s Word through faith, living on purpose, and being creative disciples.

LION’S HEART MEN’S MINISTRY

Be empowered by a supportive group of men who are genuinely passionate about sharing the transformative love of Jesus with others. Our meetings take place every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, providing a valuable opportunity for fellowship and growth in faith. Children’s Ministry (Joshua’s Generation)

Our children’s ministry is the launching pad for our younger generations. Providing care, love, and foundational tools of faith for ages 3 - 11. During our Sunday service at 9a Children’s church is full of fun activities, meaningful lessons, and the best snacks. We firmly believe in scripture and take on the challenge of training a child in the way that they should go so that when they get old they will not depart. Teaching our children on their level is the most impactful thing we can do to help their parents guide them in God’s light. The African proverb is true “It takes a village to raise a child.” St. John’s Downtown is the village.

Youth Ministry

SJD youth group, accommodates our middle and high school students. Focusing on how to apply God’s word to everyday life challenges we meet with our youth every 2nd & 4th Sunday during the 9am Worship service. Building relationships with one another and with God through Jesus Christ is the main goal. Doing that in practical ways such as engaging conversations, team building activities, and summer retreats our students are engaged in the life of one another and the church.
